Week Eight: What a failure this week was.

26/02/2024

From time to time we will have events come up which will mean that we take some time off from our journey. Last week I celebrated my anniversary with my husband and we both took a couple of days off work and went on a couple of adventures.

We drove out to Goat Island and had a bit of a walk around out there on Thursday and then Friday we went to Muriwai where we put our Ute into 4WD to see how well it handles.

While both adventures were great, I did not plan very well with regards to food while we were out. This lack of preparedness resulted in me putting on 3kgs from Thursday morning to this morning.

I was not expecting the jump to be that much, I was expecting a jump. I will just have to get myself back on track this week.

What have I learnt from this week? PLANNING IS KEY!!! But if i had to go back in time and make any changes, i wouldn't change a thing. There are always things coming up and it is ok to allow yourself to enjoy it. The key is to not let that one event or holiday become your new lifestyle. Allow the event to happen and then bring yourself back on track.
